Refinished Wheels
Has anyone had wheels repaired through refinishing places? I had two polished OEM wheels damaged during tire replacement and the dealership is going to send them out to be refinished.

I had scratches on my Z06 Motorsport (from the kid who drove into the side of my car trying to park.....
) and a large but shallow scratch on the polished lip of a custom Boyd Coddington from my GTO (done by the tire shop).
Both wheels were refinished by Wheels America and both came out perfect as far as I could ever tell...

I have dealt with recon wheel shops for 20 or so years on the business side of the house. If you have a regular alloy wheel and the damage is not down into the bead then it should not be a problem for a"reputable" wheel repair company to repair the wheel and have it last. You should be fine..
