OK. After 5 1/2 months of trying to burn CD's with ID3 tag (title & artist) data I finally got help from GM. I modified my MP3 files to have 30 characters or less and they display & play well in my 2008 with the NAV system. My question now is how do I order them the way I want to play or display them? I have been using Nero 8 Smart Start, burn Audio and they are sorted, not the way I added them. Should I use a different program to burn them or is there something I am missing in Nero?

You can re-order songs in Nero prior to burning, I do it all the time. Also, using Nero I have never had a problem getting title/artist/album info.
Use this program. You dont need to change anything as the program does it all for you. I had issues for a year until one of the members told me about this program. I have an 07 with nav.
1. Select "Write files/folders to disk"
2. Drag the files you want into it (including folder structure).
3. Select "iso9660" (only iso9660) under options.
There are many issues with the MP3 player, but the most pervasive is long file names. Selecting ISO9660 will make the folders and file names have 8.3 naming convention, and the Corvette can read those. Ex, if the file mane was "01 - Welcome to the Jungle - Guns 'n' Roses.mp3", this name is too long and the Corvette won't see it. Selecting ISO9660 will make the file name on the CD "01_-_WEL.MP3" and the Corvette will be able to read it.
