I have a 2006 LS2 and my water pump gave out at 36k and change. Only mods are Lingenfelter intake and Lingenfelter 160 thermo. It trashed the serpentine and luckily, the dealer covered it after some haggling but I was suprised at such a failure. Cost for replacement was $1000, and I had to pay for labor only.
You can go to Kragen and buy a small block water pump with a lifetime warranty for $14 so I was shocked when this happened. Any chance the thermo caused it? I didn't inform the dealer but i'm wondering what's next....my car is a daily driver and i've never heard of anything like this from other owners.
