Default Sun visor mood light

I read about the fact that there used to be a small light about the passenger visor and it was deleted sometime in the 2008 run. I was in the process of running the radar wires up over the windshield and had the passenger visor clip off and saw the hole where they used to have that. Anyone know if the item is still available and would be a simple plug and go? How do most people like it? Is it always on? Is it distracting?

I mostly comes on @ dusk/ night. I assume triggered by the light sensor on the dash... I have a '06... I put a blue LED in mine... Not very bright...

Its the small light on the right.

I have the V-1 mounted on the passenger side... the "mood" light shines directly on top of the V-1 and reflects off of it. Not a big deal but it doesn't add any abmient light - wish there was a switch to turn it off.

Didn't notice one on my '08 coupe, built 12/07, but I will take another look to be sure.

I sort of like it, don't think it's distracting but it's not much light and blue is a better color.

My question was mainly if anyone knows if it is a simple wire and plug it in or a major pain to do.

Why not just take the bulb out if you do not like it on?

Running the wire for the remote mute for the Escort 8500. I like having it easier to get to when it is in the former ashtray location. I know most use the inviscord but I prefer the remote button.
