Default PICS - New chrome repros with Kumho SPT tires

I made this post to give my own personal report of the new Kumho SPT tires. I have done a lot of research on tires and finally came up with the decision of the SPT's and I am glad I did!!! I ended up getting new chrome 5 spoke replicas and factory size Kumho SPT tires (non-runflat). The wheels are made by Topline which I never heard of but figured they would be under warranty so whatever I tried them (Discount Tire's brand I guess). The chrome finish is smoother and better looking than any wheel I have had in the past from Factory Reproductions or OE concepts. With the new tires the car rides unbelievably better. Interior road noise is significantly down, the ride is much less harsh and overall the driving experience is much better. One thing that has always concerned me about reproduction wheels was getting them to balance perfectly. These ones surprisingly did. I have had my vette up to 110mph and it is smoother than it ever was with the factory polished wheels and F1 Supercar tires. Overall I am VERY happy with the Kumho SPT's, Discount Tires reproduction wheels and their service and balancing. Another concern is I didn't want some radical looking tire such as those BFG with some ridiculous looking tread pattern. I wanted something that almost looked factory and these tires IMO do.
Here is a picture I took the car its a 05 Z51 DSOM/Cashmere and slightly lowered on stock bolts.

Beautiful. Question, when you lowered the car, did you find any change in the riding characteristics at all? How much did you lower it? Thanks...

Hard to say if there were any changes if there were it was minor but overall it remained the same. Nothing negative that I can tell. I turned the front bolts all the way and the rears I turned all the way and cut one layer off. The ride height and stance IMO is perfect and makes the car look sooo much better. I still have no issues bottoming out plenty of clearance under the car.

Looks Great.......I also switched recently to non-run flats Toyo Proxes the first thing I noticed was that there was about half the weights on my Z06 wheels as before and the ride is way better no more run flats for me
