Just keep one of these: http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/...tnum=CCK&ID=38 or similar in your back storage compartment.

That's what I plan to do when the run flats go. In addition to the negatives other people have mentioned, you can save anywhere from 2-5lbs per corner by switching to non-run flats. That's unsprung and rotating mass, which is very good to lose if you can.

From the Continential website:
"This product’s sealant may interfere with the tire pressure monitoring sensors on vehicles with direct TPMS, possibly leading to error prompts and incorrect pressure readings. Use of this product on direct TPMS vehicles could also result in damage to the tire pressure sensor inside the wheel."

I havent done the switch yet on my c6, but i did it on my C5...and i didnt have any regrets...I put the BFG KDW II's on the car and they looked great, handled even better, and hooked up out of the hole much better than the run flats....but thats just my experience with them...I was very happy with them, and will probably do it again once my tires wear down...

Absolutely no regrets, better ride, MUCH better grip, more predictable at the limit, plus the un-sprung weight savings is significant.

I went with Michellin PS2s, total cost was $1600.

Exactly. I saw that as well. But I'd rather have a kit like that in case of emergency and ruin a sensor in the process than run run flats. Everything has a give and take, this is no different.

Will not buy runflats again. The ride, traction, and noise are negatives.
I'm having 4 falkens put on this week, I'm doing basically the same, pliers, patch kit, compressor, and a work light in the bin.

Ditched the Run-Flats on my 2000 Convertible. NEVER regretted it. Ride was so much smoother. Check the TireRack (they are a sponsor of this forum & their link can be found to the left side of this forum). They will give you numerous brands and quotes for your vechile. Cost delivered to Calif. was less than $750(front & back). Local dealer charged $25 per tire to install. Hope this helps..STEVE...
