Replacement tires
Need to replace original tires on my 05 C-6 Vert. Am considering staying with the OEM tires. Appreciate any recommendations on what replacement tires others like and where to get best price.

I'm in the same boat....I've been searching around for a little bit now in my spare time. I think I'm gonna go with Falken 452's or Kuhmo Ecsta Supra 712's. This is a little unconventional for a Corvette owner but they are both great tires and I've had them on my other sports cars. Plus, they are waaaaay cheaper than run flats, which I don't need anyway. I think these sets of all 4 run around $700-800 depending on where you go. They will most likely need to be ordered because most places won't have them on hand. Usually I get a price war going with, say, NTB and Discount and someone will come out on top for lower than the original quote they would give you over the phone. I can afford whatever tire I want, but why throw away money?? just my .02

had to replacetires on 05 z51 and went with BFG - much better feel and traction - much cheaper too (tire rack) there is a spare tire kit now - www.vettespare.com

I'd replace them with the BFG kdw II'S...I made the switch on my C5 and plan on putting them on my C6 (Z51)....I personally think they hook and handle much better than the oem's..and last just as long...just my 2 cents..

On my 05 I went with the BFG KDW II's at 20,000 miles and liked them a lot over the original supercars. Much softer ride. quieter and similar grip. When I first drove my new 09 I had forgotten how hard and noisy the supercars were. When it's time I'll be making the same change unless something better comes along.
