Default Anyone had problems with vert microswitches?

I have an 05 vert with power top. It's been a great running car, but the power top has had a lot of problems. The main problem is the two microswitches in the mechanism. They have been replaced twice, and now the car is back at the dealer to replace them again. The Service Mgr. said they received a bulletin about the switches and that the corvette folks are coming up with a new switch to replace the ones that literally break so easily. What say you vert owners - what's been your experience?

Good luck. Hope they find the culprit. Keep us abreast of the issue

(I have the manual top on my '05. No issues yet.)

Default Microswitches

I had the same problem with the '05 Vert. The dealer ordered a new switch but never called to say it had arrived. A service advisor called and asked if I was pleased with the service so I explained no one had contacted me. She assured me the service manager would contact me within 24 hours. That was 24 months ago.
I took a furniture leg felt tip with attached adhesive and trimmed it to size for the plunger of the switch on the passenger side. I stuck it to the plunger to put additional pressure from the bulkhead when it is in the up position. The power top has worked as it should for the last 2 years. A simple solution to an aggravating problem.

Default Vert microswitch

I have an 08 and I keep getting the DIC message saying "top not secure" Dealer has a new switch for me - I will post after the replacement is installed and I get to test it.

My 05 was built without the power top since they were on constraint. I see why.

No problems with mine except the "top not secure" a few times in the 100x or so that I've put it down. Is this the problem you're having? I usually just push up again on the latch when it has displayed this message and it worked fine.

I have a manual top, got it on purpose after having problems with my old mercedes with a power top. Out of warranty those parts are insane, a soft top controller computer was 4k for the part alone!
