I was in a local Chevy dealer and stumbled across this 1:18 scale die-cast in machine-silver ($25.00) and I could not resist. I had a little Testor's model paint left so...
Now, if they only made the same thing in VR with a black interior!! All of the VR's made so up to this point seem to have the TAN interior -- don't know why, as so few of those were made!!!
Yours looks great and good job on the fender stripes......very cool!
Yup, it was in the parts department, they had three, one machine-silver and two in jet stream blue. They were marked at $33.00 ea, but I asked the counter guy if "could see what he could do." I guess they'd been there a while as the box said it's a 2005; mines an 07. The only real visible difference being the steering wheel (3 spoke vs 4).

Bought one at Carlisle in the Carlisle Store. VR with black. Metal. $10.
I got one at sam's club heheh i did the same thing, need to take pics of it with my real car. Popped the headlight covers off to paint the housing black and used testors dark gull grey to replicate the comp grey rims! Black paint used for my black lug nuts, and I painted the mufflers black to look like oem. Only thing is it has an 05 4 spoke steering wheel not the 3 spoke in my car and it's the standard exhaust not the zo6 (how funny would that be to have a tiny butterfly actuator part on each muffler) but that's no real big deal to me. Have it on my desk at work. Oh yeah, 9.99 @ Sam's club. I should buy some other cars too, they have gallardos, r8, murcielago, 911 turbo, specter werks c5z, a whole variety! Sam's club and costco FTW.

Thanks for trying, but the VR one has the &%$*^*% TAN interior...I don't know why they do that when the silver one right behind it has the correct black interior!!!
