The rumors are that the chemicals used in the plastic dash parts emit a gas in the direct sunlinght (heat) that cloud our windows; seemingly worse in the Vette than other cars. I was wondering if the leather wrapped cars have less of an issue?

A friend has the 4LT but it films up too. It would be hard to compare, too many variables, like how long in the sun, who has stinky breath, etc.
Cleaning the glass with a newspaper and windex helps a lot and gives it a crystal clear view. The ink has silicone or something, I don't know exactly why but it works inside and out. Just be very careful with a newspaper around the cashmere leather.
The leather is still only wrapped around all of the compounds that emit the chemicals that cause it, so yes they will. Pretty much any modern automobile manufactured with rubbers and plastics and styrene is going to develop some level of that film over some period of time.
I think you would find any new vehicle, all leather interior or otherwise left to heat up in the sun will "outgas" and film the windows. I believe it's the nature of all plastics, other synthetics and the treatments manufacturers apply to the natural components like leather and such.

And here I thought that my dealer cleaned my windows with Mobil 1 before the car was delivered. I have been cleaning my windows damn near every day since I bought it almost 2 months ago. Do these windows ever get clean?

My Vettes windows are the dirtiest of all my six cars!!! Gotta clean them at least every other weel to keep that damned film off. Its really bad when they're "smogged up" and you get the sun in at just the right angle. And even with all the tricks talked about here on the forum for cleaning them they're still a royal PITA to clean!!!
