I have been doing my routine winter cleaning before I store my 2008 Z51 Coupe. When I was cleaning the underside of the front fenders I noticed a lot of stickers under on the front end plastic pieces that have "Oct 26 07" stamped on them. I have also noticed deveral labels on the wiring llike on the seats) that have Oct 25 07 stamped on them. According to the decal on the door the car was build in 10/2007.
My question is how far atfer these parts are stamped is the car built?
Ther reason I ask is that my birthday is 10/27 and I was wondering if, by chance, my car was built on my birthday.
Build sheet is a good idea. If you wait until sometime in 2009 you can order an "original" build sheet. Right now the NCM is selling repro's for the 2008 Vettes.
You can find your exact build date by having someone with access run your VIN through the GM VIS. There are a couple of forum members that can do this for you (Gene Culley or GMautotech to name a few) or any GM dealership can do it with your VIN and it will give you a report that has the build date along with your option list and later any warranty history.

You do need to get the original build sheet from the NCM when it is available just to support the NCM but it does not include the build date. An dealer can provide the GMVIS info that includes it. The forum members that do it are even better because you get all the info in an email that you can print however you like.
