love it!! The sound quality over the speakers is great. I spoke to a few people and they all said it was good on there end as well.
I have tried a few other speaker phone attachments in other car's but the vette speakerphone is by far the best i have tried.
I messed with it for a few minutes tonight. Most cell phones have voice dialing but its a pain to use and speed dialing is faster for me.
The 09 with bluetooth has voice dialing built into the car. The car stores the names (you dont need to set it up in your phone). It was very easy to set up and pretty cool for hands free dialing. Just say "home" and the car dials the number for you. Or you can say "dial" and just call out a number and off you go.
Also has 3 way calling too, just say 3 way calling, call out a number and thats it.
Pretty cool addition available on the 2lt and up I believe. Have a great week fella's, paul
I consider BT to a safety feature the same as ABS, TC or AH. It should be standard on all cars and I believe it'll trickle down (at least in the vette) to be part of the standard equipment soon.
I cringe every time I see someone fooling around with their cell phone while trying to drive.
It took me all of 15 minutes to set mine up....and most of that time was spent reading the instructions for the cell phone. It works perfectly, if I remember to bring my cell phone along.

lol, me too stan. I have used alot of BT stuff the car is always "looking" for my phone when i get in. my phone has a mesage saying do you want to "connect to GM" when i get in. Pretty freakin cool stuff.
Wow Sounds Nice. Too bad I cant Retrofit an 07 cheaply
Bob, good point you are right on!! It should be standard. My neighbor has a porsche and with it you just put your SIM card in a slot. Thats even seems more convenient. (((Unless your SIM card is a bear to get out like mine))
And it should be Standard, as side airbages,,,but thats a different thread. LOL.
yes, the sound quality and instant link w/ my cellphone when I climb in the Corvette is first rate. I have been impressed with this feature each time I use it.
Now the question - With Bluetooth working so well w/my cell, why should I buy the minutes offered via OnStar calling (which in itself is also very impressive)??? Can someone chime in?
I had the same first impression of the Bluetooth, now if Apple will just release a new upgrade for my pet rock (iPhone) I will be able to use this feature again
The C6 Bluetooth is an extension of the OnStar module. It uses a similar menu system (call/dial) the same integration to the sound system, shares the voice tag / phone number directory. It doesn't have directory import from the cell phone like some bluetooth systems do. It works fine for what it is.
Yes, when the OnStar runs out, you can just use your own phone instead for calling. Probably what I'll do. It would be nice if a person could keep subscribe to the cell phone part of OnStar, since the windshield mounted antenna is probably capable of better connectivity in sketchy situations than a cell phone closed up and sitting in the console or in a bag in the trunk.
We were really disappointed when we picked up our 08 JSB last year because we wanted navigation so....that meant that we didn't get bluetooth. The navigation system is terrible. I would have much rather had bluetooth and MP3 connectivity and used my Garmin.
