Default HVAC Problem

Had my 05 into the dealer as the LCD on the HVAC was flashing intermittingly. They have ordered an new head unit. When I got my car home from the dealer I noticed some scuffing on the paint around the drivers headlamp; washed the car and sure enough some pretty good scuffing of the paint and the gasket that surrounds the headlamp is misaligned. Any idea if the dealer would need to remove the headlamp to investigate HVAC problems; possible sensors behind the bumper in that area. Taking tha car back in tomorrow, will point out the scuffing and misaligned gasket. ??????

There is no relationship between a headlight and the heating/cooling system on your car.

A flashing LED display for HVAC indicates that it needs to be repalced . . . .any dealer messing with your headlight without reason means that your DEALER needs to be replaced.

Is the sensor that detects the outside air temp. located behind the headlight??

I think that sensor is located up front, near the air damn. Someone will correct me if I'm in error.
