Default Zo6 a6?

Has anyone on this forum done or know of anyone who has has a A6 installed in a Z06. Please, in all candor I am thinking about buying a Z06 and having this done due to poor circulation in left leg. Don't look like the General will offer it.

Thanks
Earl

Why not buy a C6 coupe w A6 and Z51 pkg then let forum vendor LG Motorsports set it up for you. It will cost less and run faster than a stock Z06. They will even come get your car and bring it back when finished !

Yup good heads and cam package along with headers, exhaust and tune will be less then trying to convert a ZO6 to an A6.

MikeyTX, I have a '06 coupe with Z51 and have thought many times about doing exactly that. The Z06 just presented itself and I gotta admit I love that car. It was purchased by a local home builder and his wife refused to drive the 6 speed so he traded it on a A6 coupe. Guy has a lot of money I guess. Dealer called and said he would make me a super deal on a low mileage Z. Took a look Blk/Blk tu-tone and she pops. I suppose what I should do is try to test one for a few days and see how the 'ole leg makes out. Was bitten by a snake a few years ago and heart doctor harvested veins for a by pass from same leg. Go figure.

.... I have been hoping for the last several years for an A6 Z06 without luck....Looks like it might happen in 2010...... if no auto in 2010 for Z06 I'm going to RPM w/ a Z06 or ZR1 for conversion.... BTW, $12-13k is not bad..... compare that to cost of widebody conversion, brakes, new wheels and tires, engine and exhaust upgrades etc.... Good luck

Just get the Calloway C580 with auto. It costs about the same. But it definitely would be less than the Z06 plus trans swap and 580hp instead of 505.

, someone forgot the price difference between the C6 A6 and the ZO6 then factor in the 13K trans swap that would be a difference of about 30K. All the upgrades to the C6 A6 will be less then that $30K plus you will have a removable top or a vert.
