Default Michelin Run Flats

Have the Michelin run flats for the regular C6 been released yet? If so, has anyone put them on and noticed a ride or noise difference over the Goodyears?

Yes, they were released on 10/15. I purchased a set at Costco and noticed a huge improvement over the GY's. Better traction in the wet and much, much quieter ride.

I wouldn't own a french fry, or anything else "French", I don't care how good they are or what the price. You couldn't give my anything French.

A good friend of mine just put them on his car last week. He is not that thrilled with them. Talked to him yesterday and was joking (yet serious) he wished he could get a refund. I drove the car (about 40 miles) and they are okay. For those of you that thought the GY's had road noise I have news for you. Your not going to like them much better at all.

This from a guy living in Des Moines. What irony.

France is great, you should visit sometime.

Actually No, Chevrolet is Swiss.

Anyhow, I just had a set of the Michelin PS2 tires put on and they are fantastic. Their grip is outstanding. They are definitely better than the Goodyear supercars that were stock on my car.

Also, Michelin estimates 30% better tread wear vs. the GY.

Default Yikes!

I checked costco's prices. Ouch!

$1650 plus tax for the set.

vs around $1200 for the goodyears.

I hope mine last. I've got 16k on mine, and they still look good to me.

Aren't the Firestones a good bit cheaper than the Goodyears?

I paid a little under $1k for 4 Firestones about a year ago from Tire Rack. Tire Rack mailed them to my Chevy dealer and they put them on so there was no problem with the sensors. I think the total cost was about $1100.
