After 2 years with my Magnaflow exhaust system I think it's time for a change. I had considered the Flowmaster American Thunder mufflers, but I don't like the tips or the way the mufflers are visible from behind the car. Now, my attention has turned to Borla Stingers. Judging by all of the pictures I've seen of the Borla's, it appears the mufflers and tips are a single unit. If that the case, are there any tip alignment issues? I've looked at the installation instructions and it looks like the muffler assembly simply hangs from the hangers in the rear and and the only adjustment would be at the over the axle pipes. Is this correct? How well do the tips line up from behind the car and when looking down at them?
Two years ago I was at Carlisle & watched the Borla guys install a ton of exhausts. The main thing that impressed me was how they all lined up, evenly (nothing annoys me more than crooked exhaust tips) quickly and since they were all welded into one assembly, right on. Of course, I loved the sound. I actually had a set with the 2 rectangular tips, which are the only ones without the Borla name embossed on them, however, my wife thinks they're too loud. Had to sell them. She likes the magnaflows. If you do get the Borlas, PM me because I'd be interested in buying your magnaflows. Plus, there are a couple of CF vendors that have them at very good prices. Good luck! ;bt
Just put mine on myself a few weeks ago. No align issues, sit perfectly in the hangars. There is a clamp for some adjustment where the pipes go over the rear axle, and then again when they connect to the pipes along the belly.
Perfect fit the first time...one of the reasons I bought them.

Flowmaster mufflers are near invisible from behind. Also, the tips polish up well with little effort.
The lack of visibility of the mufflers and tip quality was a part of the reason I went with them vs. Borla, Corsa etc which have polished mufflers and very visible vs. flat black not to mention the quality of the deep classic sound which is of course subjective.
