I have heard alot of the "experts" say that they should just let GM go into bankruptcy so they will be forced to re-organize and I have to say I tend to agree. Just throwing money at them is not going to fix anything. I deal with automotive everyday and something has to change with the American automakers.

The best part is after bailing out AIG they caught them today having a meeting in some resort costing over $300,000.You can see they know how to manage there money.

The key to balanced news is not liking everything you hear. As a republican I do not like everything I hear on FNC. I'm no big fan of Colmes, Gretta, Jeraldo, Liason, Williams and others that are on FNC. But, at least I know I get to hear somethings I agree with. On the other hand most of CNN (allthough they are changing), and all of MSNBC (the hate America channel) I cannot stand the way they tear up this country.

With the balance FNC has they appear to be the most fair. I can only assume this is why they have a larger audience than CNN and MSNBC combined.

I for one am excited for a Toyota Corvette. Maybe the roof-popping and rear end clunk issues of the past four years will finally be remedied.

For once the experts are right. A government bail out only postpones the inevitable and makes it worse. Let GM go bankrupt, and the sooner the better. They have to reorganize and rationalize their business, and the bankruptcy court is the only way they're going to be able to do it.

EXACTLY!!! If the gov't just shovels more money into the fire then GM won't "learn from their mistakes" and we'll be in the exact same situation next time the economy slows down. If they have to declare bankruptcy they may have a chance at coming out of it a stronger, although smaller, company. Also, I believe they can renegotiate the union contracts if they go bankrupt. I'm not saying they need to slash wages or benefits to the bone, but if the Dems really want to help GM they'll lean on the UAW to give them a break.

I saw a report somewhere by another 'expert' who claims that for every automotive job that is lost 7 more are lost in the supply chain. Considering I work in a tire plant, that gives me a reason to root for GM's long term health.

FNC is my choice IF I watch the news on TV, but I rarely do. My theory as to why they have so many more viewers than the rest..... The country is pretty much evenly split between 'conservative' thinking people and 'liberal' thinkers. If you lean to the left you have at least five channels you can pick between. Anyone leaning to the right pretty much is stuck with FNC unless they just want to get PO'd every time they turn on the news. Just my dos pesos.

Maybe GM can raise some cash by selling the corvette brand to Honda. It could be like a big brother to the s2000. Then the chicklets would be a H and possibly a giant ricer wing as a factory accessory.

May I remind everyone to be weary of government nationalization of the auto industry. The governent knows nothing about cars with the exception of how to make them more expensive and difficult to build:

Need I say more:

Loan them the money (guarantee the loan) and let them do what they do best - build cars. Keep the government out. The real problem here is the UAW IMHO. It costs the (x) big three about $75 per hour (total compensation Pay+ Bennys) to build a car vice approximately $45 per hour for the Japanese (building cars in the US). If one thinks the incoming administration is going to through the UAW under the bus on a re-organization I sadly beg to differ.

Amen to that brother, MSM is in the tank for the Socialist, uh I mean Liberal Dems. Around Va, people are buying guns like crazy. I guess they figure the left might try to stop the sale of guns and ammon or tax them out of existence.
