There were a few significant changes.. Steering rack refinements (better feel), New manual tranny 6060 (stronger, smooter), Interior changes, NPP exhaust option.. some other stuff.. do a search.. plenty has been discussed already.

I never thought twice about just upgrading to another C6 unless it was the Z06 then I would go for it. But a few extra tweeks and hp is nothing really to me. But I wish I had a Z06!!! Someday!!!

Whats really weird is my buddy has an 08 Z51 6spd and everytime we swap cars and he drives my 05 Z51 6spd he says he likes how mine shifts more. He says the shifter feels tighter and more solid when it engages in gear. When I drive his 08 I feel little differences so either tranny seems fine to me. The most noticeable difference in my opinion is the steering feel. Night and day difference however I would say its more of a preference thing some may like the more "racey" feel of the 05-07's or some may prefer the more luxury type feel of the 08-09's.

James
P.S. good choice on the loaded 07 however I will say the LS3 is a serious motor. My buddy went 11.8 at 122mph at the track with only a vararam and Kooks long tubes!!! Now thats fast for a just about stock car!!!!

Here's a comparison I did of an 07 to an 08. Including the A6.

In your situation the 07 was a better choice.

I thought I would miss the HUD but I don't because I drive in town and my average speed is only 26mph on the DIC
Its useful on the highway when you are not in cruise control.
