Had the 08 up past the legal limit. road is slightly rutted. As speed increased the right rear felt "loose". It like a feeling of something is going to fall off. It wasn't a traction control issue this was after speed was achieved not at inception. The 08 is a Z51 4LT Auto PS.

Any suggestions?
I can think of a lot of things. Start with tire pressure.
Rutted roads can be deceptive especially at tripple digits with no real problems.
Alignment, loose lugs, suspension bolts - list goes on.
Lugs tight (135 lb/ft), air pressure 30 psi (digital gauge), axle nut tight, I have not checked suspension. Saving that for the Dealership, just need ideas from the brethren. Sometimes its better to be an informed customer rather than a customer at the mercy of the service writers.
The exhaust is stock NPP.
So what needs to be looked at with the suspension? linkages, all bolts tight and secure are obvious but how do you test this at speed?
Just jack her up and start looking around underneath. Grab what ever you can and give it a good hard shake. If you don't find anything after checking the tires, lug nuts and undercarriage take it to the dealer if you are still under warranty.
On a rutted road with the wide tires on our vettes you really can't tell what's what.Go to a flat smooth surfaced road, like a drag strip, and repeat the process and see what you feel.
I'm guessing the joke is implying the more stuff you have on the car, the more things there are that can rattle?
The recomended lug nut torque is only 100 ft. lbs., the 135 you stated is more than I would apply to them. That would be about right for the axle nut though.
If the car's OK on smooth roads and the "loose" feeling is just on rutted roads, then the most likely cause is wheel alignment. I've had wide-tyred cars in the past that were death-traps on rutted roads when the alignment was out, especially under braking.
Another idea would be to try the road in a similar car with similar tires. Don't know if you are a member of a local club or have friends with Vettes or not. I do know from experience that the wider the tires, the more sensitive they can be to a rutted road. Get the car checked out, of course, but a side by side comparison will give you another data point for reference with yourself and the dealer.
Was the road dry or wet. If wet was there any standing water.
It could be a rear toe alignment problem too. This can casue the car to dart around if it is out, making it a real handful. I once had this problem on a Porsche 944 and I could not drive it over 55 MPH in the rain.
one other possibility: I had that loose rear feeling in another car years ago, couldn't find anything loose mechanically, but ultimately sourced the problem to the tire which had evidently broken/failed belt(s). Replacement of tire cured the problem.
