I just finished reading the Nov. issue of Car & Driver regarding the story track meat. They pick all the top car from the other manufacturers, but pick the normal c6 with the z51 option to compete. This is not a street and track comparison but a pure race track lap time comparison. Would you not choose the Z06 for this? I hate the fact that this gives the guys running the Nissan GTR's fuel to say they were 5 seconds faster than a Corvette. I say lets run 20 laps against the Z06 and see how that 3800 lb pig holds up under braking. Everything I've read and heard about the Z06 says take me to the track, so why would they choose the all around car?

They do this so they can sell more mags by showing that the rice and blue bloods have better sports cars, though they do cost much more than the base C6 and many more than the Z06
