Default Question

i know this is going to sound odd as ell but here gose

would it be posible to make it so you could open and start the C6 with an Key instead of the key fob thing?

i know it seems weard but i have been wondering if it possible to do.

this is my main reason for wanting an C5 over an C6 is the key ezer to get more of them if you need them.

Note like C5 with tiger shark front and the C6 and C6 Z06

Thanks guys

Default Trunk option

You already have the option to open the door with a key through the trunk emergency access.
Don't know about starting. I guess you could just duct tape the fob to the console. Then everyone with a key can come in through the trunk and drive.

Wouldn't it just be easier (and cheaper) to buy a C5?

Not having to use a key when you get into or out of the C6 when you've got something in your hands is what the C6 is all about.

I think it might be too costly to do that. I don't think it is worth it.

1. Key fob ignition system is integral to the car, and all its computer systems, and would be very difficult to do without.

2. Fobs are no problem to get more...I have some extras right now if you need one, PM me.

Yeah...uhh...I just hate the thought of not having to dig the key out of my pocket everytime I get in the car. GM just makes it way to simple!

I wouldn't be surprised if the locking/starting system wiring would prevent you from doing anything. Computer would probably flip out if it didn't get a message from a sensor or something.

Replacing the function of the start button with a key type switch wouldn't be all that difficult. Replacing the function of the fob as an integral part of the car's computers, sensors and security system would be near impossible without an unlimited budget and engineering resources.

There, you can stop thinking about it.

ya thats about what i figured
thought the only way would be to use all the sensors and computers from an C5 but you would need to change the transmission ans engine stuff witch would we hard and pointless to do
