You already have the option to open the door with a key through the trunk emergency access.
Don't know about starting. I guess you could just duct tape the fob to the console. Then everyone with a key can come in through the trunk and drive.

I wouldn't be surprised if the locking/starting system wiring would prevent you from doing anything. Computer would probably flip out if it didn't get a message from a sensor or something.

Replacing the function of the start button with a key type switch wouldn't be all that difficult. Replacing the function of the fob as an integral part of the car's computers, sensors and security system would be near impossible without an unlimited budget and engineering resources.

ya thats about what i figured
thought the only way would be to use all the sensors and computers from an C5 but you would need to change the transmission ans engine stuff witch would we hard and pointless to do
