Member Nwc-6 (Scooter and I met today after we found out that He was going to add z-06 Mufflers and needed the 2 1/2 And I needed the full 3"as I have the z-06 x-pipe. So we went to a very nice Hotrod builder shop, shop were the exhaust man is from a (Nascar)* car team as a welder and does exhaust second to no one. The three inch added a bit more rumble to the Z-06 mufflers. I had changed my set of Z-06 mufflers to 2 1/2 with the 2 1/2 Kook's x-pipe.Switch headers to American Racing 1 7/8 and 3 inch x-pipe so I went to the stock z-06muffler pipes.Tryed to call Scooter to see how he likes How his American Racing Headers with the 2 1/2 pipe sounded with his Z-06 mufflers.
Now he needs a controller!

I would have kept the 2 1/2. Noticed an nice increase in sound from the 2 1/2 when in the open mode! Now will find out if it added some juice on the dyno.The off boost the go pedal feels more responsive, with the boost hard tell, just lesspressure sound from the exhaust.
