Steering Wheel Squeak
My 06 C6 coupe 3LT (11K miles) has just started making a squeaking sound when i make turns. it's coming from the Steering Wheel. I haven't changed the tilt or telescopic settings in a while, so i doubt that is it. It only happens when i have to make full turns (RT and LT). It sounds like plastic rubbing almost like a sneaker makes on a BB court. I search and found several others with this problem, but no final answer on what was done.
Any ideas?

You ever find out about this problem? Im having the same problem with my 2003 Z06...It just started and as you stated i have taken apart my dash as well, but it didnt do it instantly after...

Mine started to squeak after a year from when the power telescopic wheel comes closest to the driver. GM service lubed it up and the squeak went away, but now another year down the road it's happening again! UGH! Anyone else have this problem? Also, it's originally made a slight noise/vibration when moving all the way out closest to the driver. They had the ***** to tell me that this was "Normal". We went to a brand new Corvette in the showroom and used the power wheel, and it was as smooth as butter, no thuds, and of course no squeaks as well. Any help with this matter is appreciated. Thanks!
