Default Who'll mod

Who will not worry about modding if GM doesn't survive and warranty's aren't an issue any longer?? Of course, some never worried about that in the first place, but curious to know who'll throw caution into the wind and do what you always' wanted to do?

Are you kidding? If they were to be gone, our cars would become collectors items in a few years. And collectors like to buy totally original cars. My Z06 would become my retirment plan in 10 years!

If we could bank on that, that would be the silver lining, I suppose. I don't know if they'd be that much of a "high dollar return" though. Those car's are pretty much low numbered and have a little different collector factor, I thought. And that would blow away the "you don't buy car's for an investment" theory. But, we'll see how this debotchery play's out.

Anyway, I was really asking about those who alway's wanted to, but ultimately decided against it for fear of breaking something and voiding the warranty. The guys that buy um, drive um, and enjoy um crowd.

I'd be open to doing some motor work if that was the case.

I plan on keeping my C6 Coupe forever, so I may do a few performance modifications if GM was to go away forever .

they will have to provide a warranty for you under contract law until your warranty expires.

the more you mod the more unreliable the car is... i found that out too many times since 1967...hahhahahaaaaa back then i didnt care, but today... hell, this car is fast enough for now.

It would not happen overnight. But if the Corvette went totally out of production, never to return again, it would definitely become a collectors item at some point.

You're not the first one to say that, but certainly one of the few!

Heck...ANY car becomes a collector item "at some point". Its just how long it takes to get there...........Model T's are collector cars now, selling for many times their original value.......But I DO think that the 'Vette might make it sooner than that if GM stopped production or went away entirely........

Nothing new - mods have always come with their share of risks. I'll continue to mod - if you can't pay, don't play.
