Default 05 rattle help

Hi!

2005 Z51. On bumps I am getting a random rattle noise from the rear. I cant seem to figure it out. It almost sounds like it is the hatch. But I checked the screws and they seemed tight. Any ideas? Thanks.

Default I know what it is...

Check the hatch handles. There are 2 screws that once they are loose, it creates a rattle once in a while. I had that problem is was driving me crazy. I ended up having the wife drive the car while I pushed my way to the back.

Good luck

Default Rattle

Check the screws that hold up the bottom rear fascia above the exhaust. One of my screws came loose on my 2005 coupe. It caused a rattle that I was able to hear while driving. Good Luck.

I have a rattle in my dash close to the drivers door. It may also be in the front of the drivers door. Driving me crazy!! I feel like using Vaseline and WD-40 all over the place!

sounds like I am getting the same thing you are getting out of my 05 , however my catback is aftermarket installed by a previous owner.
Shaking the tips of the catbacks produces the same noise I hear inside, but I have yet to find the time to get it done.
I suspected it was the catbacks because once they got hot the rattle went away.
My fix for now is turn up my radio

Checked the sways. They are really tight. Definitely not them. I kicked the exhaust a bit. The left pipe squeeks a bit but I am not convinced that it is the same noise that I am hearing. I will just have to go for a cruise tomorrow to see if it is the same noise or not.....bummer. haha. I appreciate all of the help and will also check out the remaining ideas tomorrow. Thanks!!!!!
