I normally switch from the general section to the parts section to the northeast section and the C6's for sale section. I basically spend all day here lurking and posting.
I know the vendors can post anywhere but it would trim down the General section if there were less ads.
There are greater problems in this world to deal with. What the heck!
I, too, thought it was odd...in the beginning. But then I recalled that adage, "it's all about being seen." And I think it's fair to say that C6 Gen probably gets more "eyeballs" than the other sections.
If you're selling, that's what you want: maximum visibility.
When I get tired of some of the advertising, I do just as posted above: I don't click on it. I pass it by. Really. It works.
Matter of fact, there's one advertiser that I don't click on, ever....hahahaha.

look at who did the post and then decide if you want to open it. generally the advertisers will indicate a sales pitch in the subject line. for the most part, the advertisers do offer some good stuff, abet pricey because it has the "Corvette" name attached to it. CHECK EBAY Also. Some advertisers also list on EBay.
I bought a satin stretch cover from a forum vendor who was advertising satin stretch covers for some amount (I forgot how much). The same forum vendor also advertised on EBay and I got it about $75 cheaper. Anyway, buyer beware.
That big auction house you keep mentioning in your post is NOT a Forum Vendor and per the rules, is not suppose to be discussed or links posted to any of their auctions. Many threads have been locked by the Mods for posting links. - Just letting you know, that is all.
I like the vendors who post here and share their new products with us. Many vendors also offer discounts that the general public are never made aware of. Gotta love that.
Keep in mind too that the fees the vendors pay is what keeps this forum running.

Doesn't bother me one bit. I like to see all the new products and services that our forum vendors provide. It is just like Christmas morning when I see a new forum vendor post for a new product or service. I have purchased many parts and pieces from our vendors. thanks for posting everywhere.
