Personally I am not renewing On Star. I'd rather have the XM service, paying both for a weekend driver seems unjustified.
XM is especially handy in the event of an accident and you become incompacitated. You can listen to Howard Stern instead of Onstar calling you, while you lay there helplessly. I'll pay the cheap $200 insurance for Onstar and the few extra bucks for XM. I never use my Onstar, but I also never used my Life Insurance.
I tried out XM, but decided there wasn't enough to like on it.
OnStar, I might actually keep when it's time to renew.
The phone service is actually pretty useful to me.
I just get annoyed that the car nags me when the tire pressure is too high. I like to keep it at 40 at least. Fifty, better.

I have used the on-star for several errant CEL's during long trips and the phone vs. my cell when on the road. just renewed for $149 - its a deal in mho
Hey whats the trick for 149.00 renewel, they want from me 20.51 per month or if I pay for the year I only save 28.00. SO both come out over 200.00. Is there a code? Thanks.
I just renewed mine because of the cell phone range. The diagnostic feature is great but it reminds me that the TPMS on my Vette are 10% too low. The accident feature is nice but they are only notified if your airbags are triggered and your battery is still operating.
The code for the $149 renewal is connect me to your cancellation department.

I agree! Actually you don't even have to go that far....just tell them that you MAY subscribe later when you see a deal come around and they'll give you the $149 annual price. Personally, I love OnStar.
Again just seems like a feature that isn't needed. Maybe if I was like 90 yrs. old I might reconsider LOL. Haven't used the phone at all during the first 11 months. I can keep track of my own service history. The call if air bags go off is, well, unnecessary in my view.
Humm, we pay for a lot of services that we didn't have when I was younger. Call me old school but I have better use of my xtra $$.
