I'm pretty sure you have destroyed the aerodynamics of your vehicle. These "chicklets" perform a vital function in creating laminar air flow across the wheel opening. Just like the little airflow devices on airplane wings, that are added to keep airflow from seperating from the wing surface.
Never remove even the smallest Corvette ICON from your vehicle.

This is a tough crowd. When I first put the Stingray badges on my car most of you gave positive feedback. It's a good thing that I don't care what anyone else thinks. It's my car and I love it!
People actually gave positive feedback to you about putting on the Stingray badges????? I think people were playing a nasty joke on you.......seriously.
those "Stingray" tags are the most retarded idea I've seen in awhile. You may not like a certain color, but at least a color doesn't tag it as something it's not. I've seen standard "rice", American "rice" and now I've just seen Corvette "rice".
May as well just put a nice "Type R" badge below the "Stingray" so you can complete the image your going after. You currently have a fictitious C6 Stingray, you may as well make it even "cooler" by giving yourself a C6 Stingray Type R
Most of you guys crack me up. I've never seen people get so upset over a stupid thing like a badge. This post was originally about the Chickletts but most people felt the need to bash my car instead. No worries because I don't care what strangers from the internet think. I get complements on my car on a regular basis. Everyone knows they haven't made a Stingray since the early 80's. I'm obviously not fooling anyone nor am I trying to. I dig the early Stingrays (or Sting Rey as they called them) and thats why I put the badge on my car. Most of you need to get a life and not worry about things that don't affect you. I love this site but sometimes people can be extremely judgemental and unfriendly.
yeah, reading comprehension was never my strong point
Like I said before, to each their own. Stuff like that has been working for the tuner car world now for, what, a decade......so there are plenty of folks that can and will enjoy what you did

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with honoring the the old by putting a classic "Sting Ray" badge on your C6. It's not like your posing with a Z06 badge like some do.
But I would like to clarify a couple things you said in your post about the Sting Ray name. The "Sting Ray" name was first used from 1963 to 1967. In 1968 the "Sting Ray" name was not used, but returned in 1969 as a single word "Stingray" until 1976. There never was a "Sting Rey".
Man, opinions are like a-holes. We are paying homage to the Stingray. Some of the styling of the C6 was taken from the Stingray. A Z06 badge on a non Z06 is a is the same as a Type R.
