I had installed the Apsis splitter a couple months ago but didn't post any pictures of it when I put it on. For some reason just didn't like the appearance of the splitter without the ends of the air damn. I kept thinking I would eventually start to like it.
Don't get me wrong I really like the Apsis splitter but didn't like not being able to put the ends of the air damn back on. It just looked naked or something.
So today I decided to see if there was a way to install the ends back on. They are on the Z's why not my car. So jacked the car up and looked it over. Ended up all I had to do was notch the air damn ends about 3/4 inch by 1 1/2 where the splitter and the air damn ends meets and now have the look it was supposed to be and not missing something that was there before.
IMO, I like it better without the air damn corners... but its not about me or anyone else, as long as you like ~ thats all that counts. You have a beautiful car
What's the deal with the ends? How did you do it if there is a problem?
In the instructions that came with the splitter it says to remove the air damn ends and install splitter but with the splitter installed it is in the way of reinstalling the ends. The last hole for the air damn end is right there at the edge of the splitter.
What I did was very simple, I just cut a small notch that allows the ends to fit around the splitter.
I will take more pic's later when we get back home after the weekend to make it more clear. But if anyone has already bought the splitter they know exactly what I am talking about.
