Just be careful when tunning. It may void your warranty.

I tuned my Stock LS3 A6 and love it...

As for the warranty issue, there are a lot of opinions on it...Some dealers will void and some will let it slide as the modded part is not what you want the warranty to fix... like the computer

The dealer should be able to detect any tune using their tech 2

Just leave you cats on, help the environment, the smell, and your rear end will stay cleaner.

Take the advice of someone who went from stock cats, to offroad x-pipe (cat delete) and back to high flow cats. The sound was great but the odor was way too much to deal with, penetrates your clothes and skin. Keep some type of cat system. Depending on the type of relationship you and your dealer have will depend on warranty decline.

I had my exhaust changed to Corsa Touring and has the tune done ay the same time. It was done at a Chevy dealer so if there's an issue, I would just go there.

Definitely worth it.

I don't know about exhaust mods, manual or LS3, since I have an 07 A6 vert, but Chuck knows what he is doing. He will want the vararam and the 160 stat so your already in good shape with that. I had his tune put on my car back in Carlisle, and man what a difference. The car was great before the tune, but now it just lights me up every time I drive it. The tune addresses many things and especially improves the A6's response, so I'm not sure how well it will improve your manual, but like I said Chuck knows what he is doing. You're going to love it, Merry Christmas.

z51 doesn't have anything to do with NPP. Just leave the cats on. A Cow tune should work out well for you.

I see in the original post you say your ls3 would having an ls2 or ls 1 be any different in tuning it,, ??

You also mention about a Z51 (I have the Z51) on my car and had it tuned with a CAI only... its run 12.11 @ 115 mph its an 05 and they didn't have ls3 I don't even know what mine is I know it has Z51, heated seats dual comfort control, heads up etc... etc...

Is that the same as a ls3? and would a ls1 or 2 have a different tune ?

I thought my Z51 only had effect on the suspension.. and an oil cooler.. and different gearing.. i have the 3.15 A4

Should I go back to Cartek and ask?

Thanks...
If you have an 05 its a LS2. That is what engine it has. ls1 was in C5 Corvettes. The LS3 is the engine in the 08 09. So yes they are all different tunes. I'm sure Cartek got you all straight so I wouldnt worry about it.

Stock LS3 with NPP and man It was a big difference... Not a huge power gain but the transmission became a true Sport machine after the tune and is sooooo fun to drive every time!
