Wheel cleaner....
Hello, I was at an auto center yesterday and decided to pick up a few cleaning products. On the shelf I see this Turtle wax RIM CLEANER so I pick up the spray bottle and read about it, supposedly its safe for all wheels and no need to wipe, just spray on, let sit for a few seconds and hose off. I was skeptical but I wanted to try it.
I am impressed how simple this was to clean my wheels now (see sig). I tried it today. I sprayed a light amount on the wheel, (1 spray in the center of each spoke and a good amount on the hub) then used a soft brush to spread it over the entire wheel surface (took about 30 seconds) then hosed it off. Wheel came clean, no brake dust, dirt, grime etc. At this point there was still drops of water on the wheel but I was skeptical to see now if there would be water spots and when the water dried up on each wheel, there were no water spots at all. I think I like this cleaner for my wheels and wanted to let you guys know about it. I used to take about 15 minutes per wheel, as I sat there with a rag and a bottle of windex spraying and rubbing each spoke (what a PITA). Now its done in seconds!!!! Oh and I paid about $5 for the bottle, and used not even a 3rd of it yet. You can probably clean your wheels 5 times per bottle if you stretch it out right.
