I considered it before I bought a RaceMesh. It is silver and I wanted black, the installation is much more involved and would again be difficult to remove if needed, it would be hard to clean leaves, bugs, etc. because it installs behind the plastic grill.
You might also want to check into a screen for the intake under the bumper. It's easy to get a plastic grocery bag up and onto the radiator. I've got a pic of mine on my album.
i have the gm grill it is not to hard to install but you will need to raise the front to install not hard to clean it fits tight against the stock grill i love the look of mine
I have the GM mesh grill and the side fender grills. It was installed on the car from the dealer. Looks great. No problems with debris or leaves, etc.... Highly recommend...

Installed the GM stainless mesh grill in my 2008 after the condenser was punctured and Chevy Service said it was caused by a rock and wasn't covered under warrantee! (Turns out after investigation and writing an 11 page report to Chevy (with pics) and proving it wasn't caused by a rock had full replacement cost covered!!)
There are some tricks to installing this excellent grill that are covered on my web site; http://www.netwelding.com/Reports_Vette_Info.htm
I would say it's worth the extra cost. The GM box says it's made in Belgium! Very high quality. If your looking for bling this is not the grill but excellent for protecting condenser and radiator.
