Prices are taking a bath, deflation here we come!
I hope things turn around but the layoffs coming signal bad news
Hope they stop the snowball on top of the hill!
Truly a different world . . . for everything, not just vettes. Bad timing for those who would have to rely on trading their current C6's. I'd personally be all over a new Z.

yah, the deals that seemed ( and were at the time ) so great on the leftover 08s may be puny compared to what 09s end up selling for if, as many of us expect, the economic bottom has not yet been reached. People say that this is a good time to buy a vette because of the low prices. Ah, everything is relative. This may be, in fact, a very poor time to buy a vette if price is the prime consideration. Far greater price cuts may lay ahead ( while, no doubt, the msrp keeps on increasing LOL and double LOL ).
Personally, I'd like a new, no option 1LT 09 for $35k or less. At that price the dealer might not make any money but at least would not be paying inventory carrying cost on the unit. But then again, I am totally unconvinced that any of us really knows what these cars actually cost the dealers. All the hoopla about invoice cost and other so called actual costs don't impress me in the least.
I'm just sitting quietly myself waiting to see what happens in this market. After years of successive msrp increases and adm from dealers I would feel not one tiny bit of remorse about buying a new C6 for a VERY low price.
