I washed and detailed the C6 on Saturday. My wife and I then checked the weather, and all was clear. We headed down to Orlando for a wine tasting, and then some dinner. On the way down my wife put her window down. And of course since I had just washed it, when she rolled it back up again it was wet and left water marks all over it. (an anoying feature of the window seals) I was miffed! But I wasn't overly hard on her! ( Her opinion may differ). Well, we went in and had dinner etc. and when we came out it was raining! Just enough to make the roads wet, and well, you know what that does! I had to hurry home and wash the car again.
Has anyone solved that wet window problem after washing?
roll windows down before washing being careful not get water in window groove. if you're a sloppy washer then place Saran Wrap over your windows. When finished washing and drying your vette, clean the side windows separately with Windex. Takes a few minutes longer but eliminates the problem.
My wife refers to it as the "schindler curse". It happens to me a lot. The only rain within a 2000 mile radius, that only gets a section about a block square wet hits my car right after I wash it.
As to the wife rolling down the window after washing it, yes, my wife does the same and I just bite my tongue. I admit it - I'm a pain in the *** to live with.

Huh? (confused). I've read that three times, and I think it says to wash the car with the windows down.

Hey Man it's still a car and if your are going to worry about every little thing That happens make it a garage queen and take your wife out in your other car she might enjoy that more.
Wow hard to believe a wet window is something to get upset about or having to drive the car in the rain.

Sorry, I've got to agree. I like a clean car, but......

Its not really that big a deal, but the best analogy is when a women puts on her Sunday's best and gets all made up to have a night out on the town, and then spills salsa on her white dress. The vette always seems to get dirtiest when its the cleanest!
I would have shot and killed the wife on the spot! And then I would have went to the local weather service and murdered everone there for not telling you it was going to rain!
Don't listen to some of these guys on here. It kills me how some people will go out of their war to tell you how to use or enjoy your car. I'd be ticked off too if I just spent a few hours detailing the car only to have it soiled by an unexpected rain shower.
As for the window thing, just keep a damp cloth handy. That way you can just wipe the window to remove any moisture brought up from the window seals.
Truthfully, it has been "solve-able" since they first came out with window wipes, rubber, cloth, etc. I once owned a '50 merc with litttle feathery things in them that did the same thing. I'm sure you'll just have to wait until the channel/window/seals are dry if you don't want to leave streaks.
