That's some serious Vette abuse. I think the guy was hatin himself when he walked around and saw the damage.

It's been posted previously - I think this was a "GM - sponsored" burnout.

Kind of bothers me to see that level of abuse to a nice vehicle - borders on pure stupidity.

These cars can take it. No need to get upset. You just wouldn't want to do that every day though. It looked like good fun to me.

its okay to do it when youre due for a tire change anyway. SMOKE EM UP ! The drivetrain is designed to handle a lot of stress. The only thing id worry about is the molten rubber sticking everywhere and possibly damaging the fenders or the paint.

oh yes..... Carlisle. Really good time. Lots and lots of burn outs. That was one of the few that went all the way though, most people stopped before the pop.

Problem is....some poor slob will end up buying this as a "slightly used" car!

I thought that this had been put to rest a long time ago. The car that Will used was an old test mule that was on it's way to be crushed. As a GM engineer friend said to me, compared to some of the other things that car had been subjected to the burn out was a walk in the park.

That was Mr. Cooksey, the previous plant manager.
