Z06 mud guard install on C6 STD. COUPE!
1. After removing the webbing and fasteners from the back side of the mud guards.
2. I then took the two bolts out of the bottom rear facia.
3. Then I installed the mud guard and re installed the bottom bolts.
4. I then meausred 15 1/2 inches up from the bottom of the mud guard using a tape measure, marked the spot.
5. Next I measured in about a 1/2 to 3/4 inch from the inside edge of the mud guard.
6. Next I marked the spot with an awl and tapped it with a hammer hard enough to leave a mark, while a freind held the mud guard tight to the fcender.
7. I drilled a 5/64 hole through the mud guard and fender.
8. I then installed a black body bolt M4.2-1.41x20. I bought the bolts at Lowes, but any good hardware stoe should have them, they match the G.M. bolts on the inner fender, only smaller.
8. I then put a small bead of Liquid Nails clear part#LN-275 on the top 1 inch of the mud and pressed it tight to the fender and clamped it with a small clamp from the inside.
9. I cleaned the excess glue off with some laqoer thinner.
10. I let them set overnight and they look perfect, I did clen a little more glue off, and went into the seam with a small utility knife to clean a little glue out.
I hope this works for all who want to try it.I do not recomend the tape method, in my opinion the tape will not hold, after two tries I gave up on it. good luck!

I much prefer the new GM guards designed specifically for the standard C6

I know they are hard to see, and that's a good thing!

Now, the Z06 guards that appis sells, are they any different than the ones here on the white vette ?
To me, the way Appis reads is, it's a direct bolt on or attachment to the fender, and if that's the case is it alredly modified by them ?
