My car has the 6CD in it but I could use a GPS ( I go to out of the way places a lot) should I give up the 6 CD & go to an in the dash system or just go for a good after market ... ( I have a Magellan) in my DD and it works like a charm.. I also don't mind using a suction cup on my Vette when the GPS is needed... I'm looking for quality over looks...
I have read many threads here about the Chevy's version of 4.0 sucks vs the 5,0 etc... etc... My Magellan is 2 yes old & its never let me down...
Also is it a "Major" job to switch from 6CD to In Dash GPS.. I can get Top of The line Magellan for app $350... and install can be done by a 5 yr old for FREE....
I just bought a Garmin Nuvi 880 for less than $500. It has voice control and works fantastic. I've always like Garmin because they frequently update their products.

Thanks... I've only had a Magellan, but I like the "Voice Control" can you just talk to it like in a cell phone ? I say Call Home.. and it will dial my home.. does the Garmin work something like that ?
