They're skinny black fingers that clean windshields of cars that have no fear of leaving the garage. Occasional inclement weather conditions provide for a much more varied and fulfilling driving experience.
I have auto rain sense or whatever they are called in my Cadillac CTS and my wifes Mazda CX9. I absolutely hate them. The intermittent setting you have no control over. They always wipe either too often or not often enough.
I have driven my Z06 in the rain once, but if it has them it's news to me. I didn't even know they were offered on the Corvette.
There are a lotta guys running no-rain cars, here. Anybody go whole hog? Who's actually removed the wipers and wiper motor? Nice weight savings, ya know. Just sayin.

Interestingly, that automatic rain-sensing feature is installed in Corvettes produced for sale in Europe. But not the US. Same with the headlight sprayer.

I don't know much about the speed-sensitive feature of the wipers. My guess is that this appears on all Corvettes.
In addition to the speed-sensitive feature, there is another feature. This is the automatic on/off of the wipers.
For example: if it begins to rain, the car has a sensor for this, and the windshield wipers turn on automatically. IIRC, this automatic rain-sensing feature is installed on Corvettes produced for the European market, but not for those destined for US sale.

Similarly for higher delay intermittent settings. The delay decreases as you increase speed and vice versa.
I had a chance to check this out yesterday. There was no change in wiper speed as I went over 50 with my '06.
