Three years ago today I got a wild hair and decided I needed a new toy. I was in a small neighboring town and was attracted to their local Chevrolet dealer by a nice looking black C5 on their used car lot. Had it been a manual, I'd probably be driving it today, but it turned out to be an automatic. The salesman was a nice young guy, and he and I bonded quickley, and he seemed to have a genuine interest in selling me a car, but without the high pressure, which I appreciated. The dealership had only the used C5, but the salesman asked what I would want if I ordered a car, and within 10 minutes he found the exact car in north Georgia. We haggled for a few minutes, then agreed on a price. Remember, this was in 2005, and the C6's were still a phenomon. As I was writing out the check, I said, "Oh, there's one more thing". "I need the car ........ today"!! Believe it or not, this guy, said no problem! He picked up his wife, in his car, drove to Georgia (200 miles one way) picked up the car, and delivered it to my home on Christmas eve! His wife accompanied him, and we all had some "Christmas Cheer" and visited throught the night. It was a great holiday for everyone, even though I had to go buy my wife a new car the next week.
Thanks, all. He is currently selling Harleys, right down the street from the dealer. Says he enjoys it more and the money is better. May trade my Valkery for a HD this Spring.
