Default Tire width question

Without modifying any of the stock C6 body panels what is the max tire width that could be installed. In answering this question I assume that a wider that stock tire would also need to be mounted on new wheels. I'm open to suggestions in that area also. I would like to keep both components in the $6K to $8K range if possible. Thank you, I always appreciated your answers and input.

I can't answer what the widest tire will be for a C6 cause this is my first vette since my 78, LOL

I will say, it's of dire importance you go with the design rim width of the tire, otherwise you will lose the true contact patch you seek. Not only that, too narrow a rim width makes for an unhappy tire, improper flexing of the cord body and belt package and all components... you can go 1/2" in either direction or the design rim width and be ok. Example: design rim width = 11.0". you can go with a 10.5" or an 11.5" rim.

For a C6, you can go with wheels 9.5" in the front with 275x35x18" and the rears 11" wide and 325x30x19" tires, meaning with an inch wider then the stock C6 wheels you can safely run the ZO6 tires.

Yep, here are some pics of C6 coupes/vert running CCW wheels and Z06 rubber.
