AC Delco is what I replaced the original with and it has worked just like a good battery should, for a lot less than some of the others.

easiest to get, one of the best warrantys, is the SEARS Platinum series. i looked at all the others, this battery is built the same as the "best known brands" w/ the gell instead of liquid, its available at your local sears store, comes w/ a 4 year full replacement and a 4 year prorated replacement after that. it blows away the ac delco, i would never put another one of those in my car. i had nothing but problems w/ it.

the sears platinum series runs about 200.00, highly recommended. i have had mine in my car for about 1 1/2 years, never had any issues w/ it. i live in CA, desert, 105deg all summer, work in palmdale, ca it gets below freezing in winter always fires up strong!

AC Delco, Diehard, and Optima are all good batteries.

It is not a gell battery it is an AGM battery. BIG difference. AGM is vastly better than gell. Warranty is a function of marketing, not product quality.

I have an Optima group 35 in my car and an Optima is about $40.00 less than a Sears battery.

Battery just died in my '07 and had it replaced under warranty.

Have a Sear Diehard Platinum in my C5Z06 and it has been killer!

If I need to replace the battery in the C6 out of warranty, I'll drop one of those in.

If you're talking about the little place on S. Charles St. in Belleville I heartily agree with you, but unfortunately it's not really accessible by folks outside the St. Louis metro area.

Any battery with the built-in carrying strap for a C6Z. If you've ever seen how these things are wedged into the rear storage hold you'd uunderstand.

We did replace the battery in the wife's C5 over a year ago with a Sears Diehard and have had zero problems, even after the car has been sitting for weeks. Can't do that with the Delco in the Z06.
