Finally Gone, The Battery, That Is
Well today, after four years and three months of occassional but faithful service, my OEM Delco battery layed over and completely died.
It didn't take much effort to replace. I used a DuraLast battery from Auto Zone. I've tried the Optima in two other cars with very bad results. So a normal replacement battery it was.

You did better than I did. My OEM Delco lasted about 30 months in my daily driver.

Try a "Battery Tender Plus". The AC Delco battery in my 68 GTO will be nine years old this Spring. I make a habit of hooking up the Battery Tender Plus (I have two) to the GTO and my Vette whenever I know I won't be using the cars for a few days.

Good advice. I use a CTEK unit on my old '69 roadster and probably should get another for the C6.
