Default Winter storage - tires, engine

I'm not driving the Vette too much during the winter. What is the longest I should let it sit between drivings, for both the engine and the tires. I don't want bumps on the tires, and want the engine to be started every so often, but how often? Thanks!

My old C5 went into storage the end of October and came out mid April. I never started it and never had a problem with it or the tires the 5 years I owned it.

Default After three weeks....

She sat quietly in my garage for three weeks due to alot of snow on the ground and after starting her up I observed the following:

a. All the tires, especially the right front were low, down to about 25 psi

b. Most of my head unit presets were gone, from tone settings, to fader,
etc.

c. The first time I started her up there was a strong musty/fishy smell
but that passed quickly and has not returned.

If you are going to start it you should get all the fluids up to operating temperature every time; other wise don't start her. Put some Stabil in the gas and maybe a trickle charger. Runflats have very stiff sidewalls and tend not to flat spot like old bias-ply tires did.

If you are going to let it sit for longer than 2 weeks I would suggest you hook up a battery tender. As for just starting it up there are both pros and cons to that, but if you do start it up bring it up to operating temperature. As for the tires you should pump them up to around 40 psi.

i have stored cars for years this way: tires up to 40-45 psi. FULL tank of gas (premium is not an issue for 4-6 months, no stabilizer needed). windows closed. battery on tender. do not start unless you are going to DRIVE it for at least 20-30 min. simple.
