Hola!
Hey guys! I just joined up a bit ago, figured Id check out the forum since I'm trying to decide if I want to go for a 05+ vette. I was pretty dead set on buying a TT Supra when I return from Iraq later this year, but recently I have been eyeing a few vettes. The only thing that scares me is the problems I hear of the vettes. I've beat the hell out of my subaru and never had an issue. I don't think I'm going to be a baby if I bought a vette either. But anyway, just figured I'd peak in. I'll probably be lurking around the forums a bit!

Jay first of all, get home safe.. second you should drive a vette.. especially a c6 I think you will enjoy it.. Believe me they can take it. These cars are beasts, and are not meant to be babied!! Be safe out there.. I'm sure you'll make the right decision!

thanks, I plan to test drive one tomorrow. I found a used one for sale, so I don't have to feel bad about babying it. I can't bring myself to beat up a new car! lol

Great time to buy if your finances are in order. The economy sucks, so there are lots of deals out there. Some guys want to sell now to take advantage of great deals on new Corvettes. Others just have to sell.

Your worried about small problems on Corvettes and your considering a Supra? You must not know anyone thats owned a Supra. Good luck on the find but Supras are junk. Rare, yes but with good reason.

I did however check out a new 09 today and they definitely are nice cars all around. I'm glad I looked before I got in though... probably wouldn't have known where the door handle was!

Also, any auto-x guys in here? I'm interested in trying it in a vette. I doubt I'd do as well as I did in my subaru, but it will be fun anyway! Plus, what other way is better while trying to learn your car!
