What bugs? The 2010 will be virtually identical to the 2009 in almost every way, probably a different color or two, a couple of minor trim pieces but that's about it.

So technically speaking, getting the first 2010 model off the line won't have any more "bugs" than the last 2009 model off the line.
Besides, the days of the major problems of the first new Corvette (such as the fiasco with the troublesome 84 models!) are long gone. There were no major issues with the 1997 Corvettes or the 2005 Corvettes, and when they come out with a C7 I wouldn't fear getting the first one off the line then either. And if there were problems, that's what the warranty is for! I'd much rather be the first one on my block with the latest model, than to wait a year just in case there might be any bugs with the first ones.
Actually there were some issues with the '97's, e.g. caster and toe issues affecting alignment, window noise at high speeds and some tranny problems.
I wouldn't be surprised if the HP starts to drop and engines detuned
in 2010 to appease our friends in Washington, after all they now
(think) they control GM & Chrysler.
Washington’s current politicians HATE Corvettes and all cars like them.
So, to get the bailout money, there’s a good chance GM will have to
appease them. Instead of dropping the Corvette, I’d like to drop the
car-hating politicians!
