Talion, you asked does it look dull and does it look deeper than it appears in pictures?
I've had mine for over three years and still love it. The color is called "Tarnish" when used on a Caddy. In some light it does look like tarnish, silver with a very slight hint of gold. Like most silvers it looks different in various light conditions. As others have stated it's easy to care for, looks great just washed and looks good even a bit dirty when other colors really show the dirt. Mine is a daily driver that's a plus for me.
All that said it's a Corvette so I suspect you will love it no matter what color you get.

MS would not have been my first choice if I was ordering a new one; however, I could not be happier with mine, as it turns out. Of four of us at my work, mine is MS, one is Black, one is LeMans Blue, and one is the dark metallic red (maroon-ish - I can't think of the name of the color).
On the average day, mine looks better than the other three. When the others are deep polished, they are more noticeable. But, the MS shows the lines better than the other three.
Very easy to live with color and mine is a daily driver and sees 1200 miles/month.
If mine was a 100% show car/garage queen I would probably go with LeMans Blue or Black.
I dont think anyone has mentioned, I just skipped over to the last comment, but I think that the MS (or any med silver) Corvettes look hot with either chrome or black wheels, other colors dont have that option, they only look racey and scary with black, but with silver it can still pull off the classy show car look. my opinion.
When I was shopping, the LAST color I wanted was silver, and then... I saw a new shiny silver vette come up behind me and then pass me on the way to work one morning. Something about seeing the car in motion hooked me. A very classy & sporty look I thought, so I bought an '06 Machine Silver Coupe!
Well, you've already seen some great looking silver Vettes here but I just have to throw mine in as well. As other have said, silver really makes the lines pop. I loved the color of my Le Mans blue 05 but it really hid the lines unless the sun caught it just right.
I bought my 06 MS from the showroom in the dead of winter from browsing the web. Specs said it had a RED interior. Wasn't too sure about that combo until I saw it. Love it. People comment on the color combo all the time. Classic look, stays clean in a dusty environment and really does look sooooo much better in person than in the photos. I'd post a few but I'm traveling and don't have them on my laptop. PM me and I can email if you like.
