Are there stop bolts on these lifts? I'd hate to run my car up and send it into the Attic or first floor room.
It could happen. I have tape on my post to tell me when I am at the height I want. Some have put rods over the hydraulic ram as a dead stop to prevent overtravel. Otherwise, don't fall asleep with your hand on the lever
Here they are. The 02 C5 coupe with auto is up on the lift. Just under it is the 08 M6 NPP coupe and the one in the center is the 05 M6 Z51 coupe.
They are covered and on life support (battery tenders) with StaBil in the tanks. Not sleeping but hibernating! It was -23 yesterday and -24 this morning. I keep the garage at 65 an the furnace has been running twice as much as usual.
Have not put the covers on yet, but the 4 motorcycles are asleep also.

Reason: typo
I'll shoot one this weekend but in the mean time, I drove my better halfs car this morning since it has remote start and it's colder than crap. Here's a crappy cell phone pic of the temperature showing in the car this morning on the way to work. Yes, that is -30 below zero!! Yikes!!!
My baby is in hibernation inside a bubble as well. However this bubble is polyethylene. 100% sealed and filled with 5lbs of dessicant. Battery removed and on a tender. Put into suspended animation in October. She'll be brought back to life in April.
If I didn't live "up north" I'd say the same thing. The harsh reality of it is that around my neck of the woods, we've already had 40+ inches of snow this year, temps in the -15F range at night and +5 during the day, potholes all over the place, tons of salt on the roads, and idiot drivers out in force not knowing how to drive reasonable speeds when the freeways are iced over . With this said, packing the jewel away for the winter is by far the best thing to do during the winter.
