Is the torque transfer device inside the torque tube called drive shaft? We know drive shaft is usually between the transmission and differential. But this device is between the clutch and transmission.
In the shop manual for 06C6, the 'torque tube' is referred to as the "driveline support assembly". The 'driveshaft' is referred to as the "propeller shaft".
If you start going crazy fast on the strip...I think sub-ten or nine seconds you'll need a clutch housing blanket to protect you from exploding clutch assemblies.

the only nhra legal clutch protection is a blowproof bellhousing. i do not know of anyone who makes one yet for the c6
Does anyone know much about a driveshaft safety loop for a C6? Do we need one at the track, if so, where do get one?
Thanks
What you really need is half shaft loops. They do break and can cause alot of carnage. I remember seeing one vendor that was in the process of making them. As soon as they do im game!
