I have a 2007 C6 Coupe with an odd problem. Yesterday I noticed that the CHMSL (Third Brake Light) stays On. I also noticed that when I open the rear hatch and push the button/switch at the rear of the vehicle, the CHMSL goes off momentarily and when the hatch opens comes back On. It is staying On whether I apply the brakes or not. The lower brake lights are functioning normally. Any thoughts as to why this is happening? I've tried searching the forum but don't see any related posts. They all discuss the light staying off. Thanks.

I am having the same problem with an '09', does anyone know what the problem or the fix may be? Thanks!

Just fixed mine - remove either one of the passenger side tail lights and find the large connector that goes to the tail lights, unplug it, clean the corrosion inside the connector, plug it back together, and it's fixed.

And after you clean it, spray something on it to prevent future corrosion.....WD-40, silicone, contact cleaner, whatever.

Especially people in humid places....
