When I had my 06 Coupe, my gas cap broke also. They did replace it under Warranty. Sounds like what happened to me. Its like anything else on a car, it can break and it did...

Exactly...a broken gas cap is not that unusual. It has a plastic ratchet mechanism inside it that can fail; then it will just spin as this one does. Not the OP's fault, just a bad gas cap
thats it, is the ratchet mechanisim, I know that I can go and buy the cap for nothing, but now that I have a couple of issues with other things its time for the dealer.
No I don't have a tune, my mods: halltec intake, exhaust, and rims.
just to be on the safe side I going to swap my stock intake before going to the dealer.

Just purchase a new cap and be done, any trip to a dealer can be trouble and for a $20 cap it's not worth the time

No need to swap your intake. Your dealer won't (should'nt) care.
